Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for high rise residential construction projects in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. A minimum of 5-years relevant work experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry is a requirement. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to successfully manage and oversee all aspects of project management, coordination, budget and schedule control.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the management of one or more high rise residential construction projects up to $100M in total construction volume.
Develop and manage construction cost budgets.
Plan, prepare and monitor construction schedules and milestone schedules.
Prepare tender documents, including scopes of work and oversee the procurement process.
Analyze and evaluate and make recommendations on trade contractor bids.
Prepare and manage trade contract agreements.
Prepare and submit reports.
Plan, organize and control project operations.
Establish and implement project policies.
Schedule and lead regular project team meetings.
Promote a safe and healthy workplace and enforce the Company’s health and safety policy.
Provide leadership to the construction team and oversee all project goals, objectives, budgets, schedule and staffing.
Oversee document control and document management.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, trade contractors and all other project stakeholders

Qualifications:

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
Minimum five (5) years work experience as a Project Manager in high rise residential and/or ICI construction
Must demonstrate a strong ability to lead teams and communicate effectively
Must demonstrate excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
Proficient in the interpretation of construction documents including drawings, specifications and contracts
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Projects
Gold Seal Certification in Project Management is an asset
Experience with Jonas Premier is an asset
