Role Description

This is a contract remote role for a Cyber Security Instructor. The Cyber Security Instructor will deliver training sessions and courses on various aspects of cybersecurity, including application security, network security, information security, and malware analysis. The instructor will also be involved in curriculum development and support students throughout their learning journey.

Responsibilities

Conduct cybersecurity classes, teaching fundamental concepts including Security+ skills.
Educate students on various industry security frameworks, such as ISO, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and more.
Guide and mentor students through real-time projects, using tools like Linux, Kali Linux, CLI, Autopsy, Metasploit Framework, Nmap, Nessus, Splunk, EDR Comodo, Caldera Agent, and others.
Teach different security lifecycles, including incident response, penetration testing, and digital forensics.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of application security, network security, information security, and malware analysis
Experience in delivering cybersecurity training or teaching in a related field
Proficient in relevant cybersecurity tools and technologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and remotely
Relevant certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., Security+, CEH) are a plus
Experience in the IT industry or cybersecurity consulting is preferred
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $17 - $20 per hour. Individual pay varies based on qualifications, experience, work schedule, workload, and geographic location. Additional compensation is available for extra work hours and performance.
