Your Role and Responsibilities:

Perform software engineering management, reduction, and analysis of data, designing tests, and laboratory analyses, including scientific analyses and interpretation of research results.
Perform software engineering that includes software planning, requirements analysis, design, development, integration, testing, debugging, and installing large scale software systems.
Estimate, measure and report quality and progress of the software development effort.
Process concurrent tasks and work with other team members to accomplish larger or complex tasks.

What You’ll Need:

Master of Science degree from an accredited college or university in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems, or other related engineering or computer science discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role performing these responsibilities listed above.
US Citizenship and either currently hold or have the ability to obtain Secret Clearance and be TS/SCI Eligible.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to navigate each department at the assigned facility.

Location:

This is a full-time position based in San Diego CA. We understand the value of flexibility, so the remote work option will be considered on a case-by-case basis for this opening, provided you’re willing to travel to San Diego as needed to support our customer. Travel <10%, possibly more if working remotely.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation range for this position in California is $170,000/year to $210,000/year; however, base compensation offered may vary depending on established government contract wages, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, market location, and other factors. G2 Software Systems also offers a full range of medical, financial (401k and Employee Stock Ownership Program), and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
