With 1,500 hostels onboard, 7,000+ app downloads, and a growing user base, we are expanding rapidly and raising a $1,000,000 seed round to fuel our growth. Our core audience, Gen Z travelers, are shaping the future of the hostel industry, and our platform is designed to meet their specific needs with a seamless, interactive experience.

Position Overview: We are searching for a Founding Developer to join the team and help drive the next phase of growth for Hostel Hop. This position is an equity-only role, with potential for compensation changes pending future investment and revenue milestones. This is a unique opportunity to get in at the ground floor of a fast-growing startup and play a pivotal role in shaping our technology.

As the Founding Developer, you will be responsible for both frontend and backend development. We are looking for someone with full-stack expertise, who can work with:

Frontend: Expertise in Angular for our web platform.
Backend: Proficiency with Node.js using TypeScript and JavaScript to build scalable backend systems.
Cloud Infrastructure: Experience working with Google Cloud Platform.
Mobile Development: Experience with Flutter is a big plus, as it forms a key part of our tech stack.
PHP experience is also a major plus but not required.

You will work closely with the founding team to implement new features, optimize performance, and ensure the scalability of our platform as we onboard more hostels and users.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain the web application using Angular.
Build and manage the backend infrastructure using Node.js (with TypeScript and JavaScript) to power user profiles, booking engines, and reward systems.
Collaborate on cloud architecture and implement solutions on Google Cloud.
Work on mobile app development and integration using Flutter.
Lead development efforts and provide technical leadership as the company scales.
