An exciting opportunity has become available at the Isle of Man Post Office. We are looking for a passionate Graduate Systems Developer on a permanent basis with a strong programming foundation to join our dynamic team full-time. This role will support our ICT function by designing, developing, and maintaining software systems, all while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

The Role

Main Responsibilities

Primarily develop and maintain the core software for internal systems. Write clean, well-organised and fully documented code, adhering to programming best practices.
Solve complex scalability, platform and integration problems.
Create and maintain front-end and back-end software, consisting of core application logic, database and application integration.
Adhere to change control procedures.
Perform testing and debugging of any back-end applications or systems.

The Person

We Are Looking For Somebody Who

Is a graduate in computer science or related field
Has experience in data structures such as XML/JSON and relational databases, Powershell and/or Bash
Has experience in web technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Has experience in version control systems
Good verbal communication and presentation skills
Good report and documentation writing skills

Pay will be commensurate to experience on the applicable pay band to the role and commences at £26,564.06 to £30,743.74.
