Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Freelance Proofreader/Transcriber to join our team on a project basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and proofreading transcribed audio content for accuracy and consistency. This role requires excellent attention to detail, exceptional proofreading and transcription skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and proofread transcribed audio content for accuracy and consistency

- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and style guide

- Identify and correct any spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors

- Verify names, titles, and other factual information

- Flag any discrepancies or inconsistencies in the transcribed content

- Transcribe audio content accurately and efficiently

- Meet project deadlines and manage workload to ensure timely delivery

- Collaborate with the transcription team and provide feedback to ensure consistency and quality of work

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field

- Proven experience as a proofreader and transcriber

- Excellent command of grammar, punctuation, and spelling

- High level of attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Familiarity with brand guidelines and style guides

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

- Experience in the automotive industry is a plus

Working Conditions:

- This is a freelance position on a project basis

- Flexible working hours, with the ability to work remotely

- Availability to work on short notice to meet project deadlines

- Travel may be required for occasional team meetings or events
