Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive team post-Series A funding. The COO will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of our geothermal power plant projects, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish. This includes managing day-to-day operations, coordinating with development partners, optimizing processes, and driving operational efficiency. The COO will play a critical role in translating our strategic vision into operational success and supporting the sustainable growth of the company.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement operational strategies to support growth and expansion
Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all areas
Work directly with development partners to ensure adequate progress towards milestones
Assist to nurture relationships with strategic partners, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders
Optimize operational processes and workflows for maximum productivity and cost-efficiency
Implement best practices for resource allocation, risk management, and project execution
Collaborate with the executive team to align operational goals with overall business objectives
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and growth
Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration

Qualifications & Attributes

Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role, preferably in the renewable energy or energy sector
Strong understanding of operational management, process optimization, and project management
Proven experience managing large development projects
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a remote and dynamic team environment
Passion for renewable energy and commitment to Origin Earth Energy's mission
Advanced degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred

Compensation:

This position will commence only after successful Series A funding. Compensation will include a competitive salary and an equity stake in the company, reflecting the candidate’s role as an early team member. Details of compensation will be outlined in the agreement upon joining.

This position requires a commitment to join as a key member of our team pending successful Series A funding. We value transparency and will work closely with the selected candidate to formalize terms in alignment with our funding timeline.
