Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect - Backend to lead the design and development of scalable backend solutions for our retail applications. This role involves close collaboration with front-end developers, product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and implement backend architecture and technical roadmap aligned with product vision and business goals.
Lead and mentor a team of backend developers, providing code reviews, feedback, and guidance.
Translate business requirements into microservices and integration models.
Build security models around microservices with appropriate access control, policies, and authentication.
Develop high-performing microservices that scale to millions of requests.
Design deployment models for microservices and integrate with various channels.
Research and evaluate new technologies and industry best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and bugs.

Requirements:

Proven experience with React and Node.js.
Strong background in innovation development projects.
Ability to work independently and make decisions with little supervision.
Experience in the retail industry is an advantage.
Deep understanding of modern software development and emerging trends.
Superior communication skills and the ability to guide senior levels and cross-functional teams.
Strategic thought leader and problem solver.

Technical Skills:

Open System development: Java, JEE, JSP, Spring, Spring Boot, Rest Services, Spring JPA, REST, JSON, Junit, Spock, Apigee
Strong knowledge of relational databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL (MongoDB, CosmosDB)
Real-time streaming platforms: Confluent Kafka, IBM MQ, Azure Event Hubs, RabbitMQ
Experience with Microsoft Azure
Performance testing and monitoring: JMeter, Gatling, Splunk, New Relic
Jenkins Pipeline/Github Actions setup: Groovy, Gradle
Experience in Docker, Containers, Kubernetes, Microservices, SonarQube, Git

Preferred:

Knowledge of Retail Order Management Systems
Experience with Agile and SCRUM methodology
