Prairie Barns Construction LLC is seeking a **Remote Project Manager Assistant** to support our growing construction business. This individual will play a key role in assisting the project manager with daily operations, managing materials, budgets, and vendor coordination for post-frame construction projects. Responsibilities

Attend pre-sale meetings to assess client needs and ensure project vision is captured.
Perform material takeoffs and estimate materials from client sketches and plans.
Use Smart Build Post Frame design software to design basic barns and structures.
Ensure project budgets account for materials, labor, equipment, site facilities, and mobilization costs.
Monitor project job costs and provide updates to the project manager.
Create work orders and purchase orders for approved projects.
Enter vendor bills into Jobtread and reconcile them with budgeted costs.
Assist with daily tasks, including material orders, equipment scheduling, and site coordination.
Compile post-project reports to identify budget discrepancies and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of construction materials, especially in post-frame construction and residential houses.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
Experience in construction estimating and project coordination.
Familiarity with Smart Build Post Frame design software is a plus.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
Excellent communication skills, with a professional and courteous manner.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday
7:00 AM 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM 5:00 PM
Two 15-minute breaks (9:45 AM and 2:30 PM) and a one-hour lunch break from 12:00 PM 1:00 PM.

Compensation

$25 per hour to start
