Rampart Technologies currently has an opening for a Senior Network Engineer responsible for designing Campus Area Network services and working side by side with our partners. This position requires taking customer requirements and placing them into service on the active network.

Job duties/responsibilities of a Senior Network Engineer include:

Discovering and capturing requirements needed by mission partners and providing a solution that fits customer needs and redundancy requirements
Completing bandwidth studies to ensure that customers have the appropriate amount of bandwidth to provide customers with a high-performance experience.
Creating engineering documents and drawings, placing artifacts in support of all processes, and recording them into records processes.
Working with different networking protocols and large-scale enterprise networks for Campus deployments to integrate into the Wide Area Network.

REQUIREMENTS

The candidate must have 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a doctorate and 8 years of experience, OR a master’s and 10 years, a bachelor’s and 12 years, an associate's and 14 years, or HS and 16 years.

Active TS/SCI w/ CI Polygraph and Security + Certification
Knowledge of Cisco and Juniper devices.
Understanding of fundamental networking concepts (Spanning-Tree, VLANs, Subnetting, SVIs…etc)
Knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Route policy and manipulation.
Knowledge of Multiprotocol Labeled Switching (MPLS) and Resource Reservation Protocol (RSVP) Traffic Engineering (TE) (RSVP-TE) is a plus
