Overview

We're looking for an Android Developer to join Sleep Jar full-time! The chosen candidate will work closely with company leadership to build, enhance, and maintain the organization's Android application(s) for a variety of form factors.

Sleep Jar helps millions of people sleep, relax, meditate, or focus through exclusive audio content on their Amazon Alexa, Android, iOS, and Fire TV devices. Our team's work has been featured by major publications such as Forbes, CNN, Bloomberg, Fox News, CNET, and PCMag.

Key Responsibilities

Development and maintenance of Sleep Jar's Android application(s)
Optimize application(s) for phones, tablets, and TVs
Plan and achieve product launch schedules
Implement and utilize unit tests and continuous integration
Collaborate with company leadership regarding product roadmap and design

Qualifications

3+ years of experience building native Android applications
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java
At least one published Android application
Working knowledge of Git and Git Flow
Excellent communication
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Reside in Michigan

The video interview takes place with company leadership and a team member with deep knowledge of the role. For technical positions, anticipate a coding challenge to be performed during the interview. We also invite candidates to ask us questions during this video call.
