We are seeking a Writer to develop and write compelling proposals and grant applications in response to funding opportunities. This includes understanding requirements, designing proposal structure, and creating persuasive content. Additionally, the writer will manage projects for the communications center.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES and EXPECTATIONS

The Writer serves as a member of the communications team and works closely with various teams within the organization and externally to produce proposals and communications materials, reporting to the Communications Manager.

Primary areas of responsibility are:

· Develop and write compelling proposals and grant applications in response to

funding opportunities in collaboration with the Business Development Director and

Vice President, Business Solutions and Innovation – 75%

· Manage internal and external projects for the Communications Center – 25%

This job is for you if you can demonstrate…

· Proven work experience as a writer or similar role.

· Able to understand and analyze request for proposals (RFP’s), request for quotations

(RFQ’s), and invitation for bids (IFB’s).

· Research and understand the target audiences and their needs to create relevant

content.

· Demonstrate ability to work closely with subject matter experts to gather necessary

information.

· Develop and organize compelling proposals in accordance with Stratis Health

strategies and focus areas.

· Project management experience.

· Write clear, persuasive, and concise proposals.

· Edit and revise proposals based on feedback.

· Maintain and manage a library of proposal content for future use.

· Ensure all deadlines are met and proposals are submitted on time.

· Coordinate with communications to incorporate necessary visuals in the proposal.

· Keep updated on industry trends to effectively address concerns and questions.

· Participate in presentations and discussions when required.

· Apply professional discretion and judgment to sensitive situations.

· Proven relationship management skills.

· Exceptional time management skills.

· Team player who enjoys working collaboratively with internal and external teams.

· Comfortable moving rapidly between high level strategy thinking and planning, and

detailed implementation work.

· Write copy for various marketing channels including websites, newsletters, social

media posts, and advertisements.

· Proofread content for grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

· Ensure consistency in style and tone.

· Assist in the development and execution of communications strategies for launches,

events, and promotions.

· Able to understand the importance of matching appropriate tools, methods, or

technological solutions to the problem at hand.

· Have commitment to health equity, diversity, inclusion, racial justice, and addressing

the systemic factors that produce health inequities and health disparities.
