The Position: We’re looking for a Data Scientist interested in using their expertise with data analytics to create solutions to a myriad of issues in the life sciences field. Working with our experienced data science leaders, the right candidate will grow their experience in this field and support our business by working on project teams to:

Conduct research and analytical projects leveraging data/big data to discover patterns and solve strategic and health-related problems using both structured and unstructured data sets across many environments;

Use biostatistics and advanced data analytic and visualization approaches to generate and effectively communicate scientific results from diverse data sets ranging from relatively low volume (e.g., laboratory measurements) to relatively high volume (e.g., genomic-related, national epidemiologic surveys, pharmacovigilance);

Leverage emerging scientific and technological developments to produce new research ideas, solutions and initiatives using real-world data (electronic health records, insurance claims, registry data, others); and

Clearly communicate highly technical methods and results to diverse audiences and clients through reports and presentations that convey research findings through creative data visualizations and graphics.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range is $100,000 - $175,000+ as a combination of base salary, bonus and benefits. Pay will be based on candidate qualifications and experience.

Job Qualifications:

Education and Experience

· Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or other Health Science Field with an emphasis in Data Analytics (or related field) and 3+ years of post-graduate experience in the health sciences field working with data analytics or

· Bachelor’s degree in data science or related field with 3+ years of post-graduate experience

Skills

Well-grounded in the fundamentals of data analytics, statistics, and programming
Proven experience using real-world data, including EHR, claims, registry and patient-reported outcomes
Demonstrated ability to implement data science principles and applications in at least one statistical programming language such as SAS, R, or Python, SQL and other programming language experience is a plus.
Skill in interpreting and analyzing data results and effectively communicating them to diverse audiences
