We specialize in medication management for conditions such as ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, PTSD, Sleep Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders. In addition to medication management, we provide therapy, telepsychiatry, and professional consultations to psychotherapists and primary care physicians.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Medical Biller with a focus on patient collections and interactions to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and a proven track record of successfully managing patient accounts. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to providing outstanding customer service to our patients. The role will be primarily located in San Diego, CA, with flexibility for some remote work.

Responsibilities:

Manage patient accounts and billing inquiries with a focus on timely and accurate collections.
Review and process patient invoices, statements, and payments.
Work closely with insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate reimbursement.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their billing questions and concerns, providing clear and concise explanations and solutions.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care and billing activities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, with a focus on patient collections.
Proficiency in medical billing software and EHRs.
Experience working in a healthcare setting and familiarity with psychiatric billing is a plus
Strong understanding of healthcare billing practices, including insurance billing and reimbursement processes.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer service-oriented approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
Certification in medical billing and coding (preferred).
