Responsibilities

A successful candidate for this position will own a computer (laptop or desktop) with an external microphone, have a good, clear speaking voice, not be apprehensive about talking on air, and will be experienced in true crime investigations (not necessarily officially), as well as in diligently researching issues online.

Qualifications

Once again, a candidate must own a personal computer with an external microphone (we can not record our shows using a cellphone no matter how new or expensive yours is). The microphone does not have to be expensive, but it cannot be the internal mic that comes with the computer.

The candidate must have a sincere passion for the true crime genre and be very familiar with how most true crime podcasts and programming are presented to the general public.

The candidate must have a pleasant and clear speaking voice that carries well when broadcast.

The candidate must work well as a part of a team and enjoy rigorous problem-solving.

The candidate must be willing to use a pseudonym for recording purposes (it will not be your real name being used).

The candidate must be willing to sign a 3-year non-competition and Non-disclosure agreement with Wild Orchid Media which also grants the company permission to indefinitely use any recordings made for the show for promotional purposes in the future without any compensation to the candidate either real or implied.

The candidate must be willing to accept a percentage of ownership in the podcast as compensation for the first six months of internship. If the podcast continues after six months, a traditional compensation schedule will be negotiated between all parties which will begin once the initial 6-month internship has expired.
