Job title-Procurement / Contracts Analyst
Location: Palo Alto, CA/ Atlanta, GA (5 days a week onsite is must)
Duration: 12 Months
Required skills:
- Review and validate vendor quotations and contracts for compliance to policy;
- Engage and drive basic vendor negotiation(s) to closure;
- Support tracking/reporting approval from finance, legal, privacy, security, etc..
JD:
- Leveraging domain expertise and sourcing/business acumen, you will partner with business stakeholders to develop sourcing strategy and sourcing execution plans for respective spend areas.
- Be a trusted business advisor by understanding market competition and best practices. Through curiosity and an analytical mindset, you will conduct internal spend reviews, opportunity assessments and external benchmarking for assigned categories to aid in sourcing strategy development.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- By focusing on proactively building highly effective stakeholder engagement, you will work to develop relationships based on an understanding of the business needs, intent to operate in an advisory capacity and commitment to delivering the best solution for the business and for VMware.
- Building relationships and partnerships with other orgs within VMware (Finance, Legal, Procurement)
Tactical Sourcing:
- Deliver maximum value/savings and minimize risk
- Review and approve new supplier addition requests from VMware business stakeholders and requestors.
- Create and administer Sourcing events (i.e. RFI, RFP, eAuctions) through Workday Scout tool
- Draft, administer and negotiate standard template contracts (i.e. Master Services Agreements, Professional Services Agreements, Data Privacy Agreements, SOWs, etc.)
- Review purchase requisitions for respective spend categories to ensure purchase policy adherence.
- Develop and maintain relationships with preferred suppliers for respective spend categories
- Partner with the Responsible Sourcing Program team to ensure category spend with diverse and sustainable suppliers.
Compliance:
- Ensure necessary supplier risk assessments are completed (i.e. financial, data privacy, information security, etc.)
- Complete deal level financial commitment assessment review to determine appropriate SEC reporting protocol.
- Understand, advise on and ensure compliance to our Finance and Purchasing policies.
