Role:
We are looking for an SEO Senior Manager with 7+ years of experience. The core responsibilities will include developing and implementing effective search engine optimization strategies to drive organic traffic and improve our clients’ online presence. This includes managing on-page SEO and off-page SEO activities, optimizing keywords and phrases, link building and analyzing web analytics data.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with our clients to grow their site’s SEO rankings, traffic, and conversions
- Own and lead all aspects of SEO conversations with our clients
- Develop and monitor a set of SEO metrics to measure progress towards goals
- Build out cohesive, strategic SEO projects, and planning documents to track progress, hand-in-hand with our client’s marketing and development teams. Planning out 3-12 months, depending on their needs.
- Conduct thorough keyword research and SEO analysis to identify relevant target keywords and phrases.
- Develop and execute effective on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve website visibility and SERP rankings.
- Optimize website content, meta tags, headers and URLs to ensure alignment with target keywords and enhance search engine crawl ability.
- Identify technical SEO issues and implement solutions for improved website performance and user experience.
- Conduct SEO audits, competitive analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for improvement and stay ahead of competitors in search rankings.
- Track and analyze website traffic, user behavior and conversion rates to assess the effectiveness of SEO strategies and make data-driven recommendations.
- Stay up to date on emerging SEO trends and technologies, exploring innovative approaches to enhance our SEO efforts further.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to integrate SEO with other digital marketing initiatives for cohesive campaigns.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing or a related field.
- Relevant SEO certifications (such from Google, HubSpot and/or Semrush).
- 7+ years of experience as an SEO manager or a similar SEO-focused role.
- In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms and digital marketing trends, with a strong understanding of the Indian search landscape.
- Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools like Google Search Console, SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner and Google Analytics.
- Knowledge of A/B testing, local SEO and SEO reporting tools.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and website optimization platforms, like WordPress.
- Experience with SEO for local businesses and Google My Business optimization.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of website design, development, HTML/CSS coding, Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising and link-building strategies.
- Knowledge of technical SEO, including speed optimization for web and mobile.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Familiarity with social media marketing and its impact on SEO.
- Experience with SEO testing and experimentation.
- Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles.
