Ladenzeile is one of the leading product comparison platforms for Fashion and Living throughout Europe. We run one of the top 10 organic e-commerce sites in Germany, a top 50 overall. We want to create a special online-shopping experience: An online shopping street that empowers our millions of users to find their favorites in fashion and living and a place that inspires and boosts the visibility and revenue of our over 4000 partner shops.
Your mission at Ladenzeile? As Frontend Engineer (m/f/d) you use your valued experience to structure modules, design and interact with APIs, and keep track of KPIs. You play an essential role in all technical aspects of presenting the feeds of thousands of partner shops to our millions of users.

Your challenges and tasks
- By rebuilding our tech stack (JVM, next.js, MongoDB & Kafka in AWS) you play an important role in the replacement of our B2C frontend
- Your work sets a high bar for operational excellence in terms of clean-code, observability, scalability and reliability
- New features are delivered in a fast paced CI/CD approach that avoids overengineering
- Intended behavior is fixed automated testing
You offer
- You have experience with Node.js, React and preferably with Next.js
- You have extensive experience with automated frontend testing and strongly advocate it
- You are experienced with build tools like Webpack
- You have (nice-to-have) knowledge of Cloud Computing, RESTful API’s, GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS) and are familiar with CI/CD pipelines
- You are not dependent on libraries and frameworks, but know when, where, and why you should use them
- Team player with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership & drive
- You are asking for the reasoning behind things to come up
- Analytical mindset with a “getting things done” & “can do” mentality
- Eager to learn new technologies and extend knowledge
- Already living in Germany
- Excellent professional English skills
