About the role:
- Support a team of 3 employment attorneys, soon to be 4 with a caseload of 70+ pre-litigation and litigation cases.

- Handling the filing and service of legal documents
- Engaging in effective client communication
- Ensuring the maintenance and organization of case files
- Managing calendars meticulously for depositions, hearing dates, and all associated deadlines (e.g., pleadings, motions, discovery)
- Thoroughly reviewing and proofreading legal documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Utilizing case management software to maintain well-organized and updated case records
- And other commonly related paralegal / legal assistant tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
- 2 or more years of legal experience in a Paralegal or Legal Assistant role, focusing on civil/plaintiff litigation within CA employment law (FEHA experience / employment litigation) is required.
- Strong organizational skills, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in data entry and document management systems
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to proofread legal documents effectively
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Capacity to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
