We are a long-established electric motor manufacturing plant on the east side of Houston, TX in the 77020 zip code. This is an entry-level position that involves handling phone calls, directing inquiries, greeting and assisting visitors face-to-face (including vendors, clients, job candidates and customers), and providing support to the various departments within the organization. Responsibilities encompass but are not confined to:
Responsibilities
· Maintain professional appearance both personally and of the reception area
· Answer telephone, screen and direct calls
· Accurately take and relay messages
· Provide information to callers
· Greet persons entering organization and direct to correct destination
· Deal with queries from the public and customers
· Accepts employment applications
· Ensures knowledge of staff movements in and out of organization
· General administrative and clerical support
· Receive and sort mail and deliveries; prepare all outgoing mail for delivery to post office
· Scan documents as needed
· Data Entry of manual timecards as needed
Assist with planning and food ordering for company-wide luncheons/events
Qualifications
· 1+ years’ experience in an office environment
· Strong attention to detail, organized and computer literate
· Beginner to intermediate skill level in Word, preferred
· Knowledge of administrative/clerical procedures and proper email etiquette
· Good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
Bi-lingual is a must
