Role Description
This is a contract role for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer for a client we have worked with extensively at Synergy Systems. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as conducting quality assurance tests, creating and executing test cases, performing manual testing, and software testing. It is primarily located in the Nashville Metropolitan Area but offers flexibility for remote work. (Onsite 3 Days/Week)
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the QA team and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, develop test scenarios, and test cases.
- Execute manual test cases.
- Execute automated tests using Selenium in CI/CD pipelines and other appropriate tools to validate the functionality and performance of web applications.
- Perform API testing to verify the functionality and integration of APIs.
- Identify, analyze, and report software defects using defect tracking systems and track them to resolution.
- Ensure that software releases meet quality standards by conducting thorough testing.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test automation.
- Contribute to the improvement of the QA process and test automation frameworks.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all testing activities.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in QA or a related field.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#. Experience with Selenium or similar automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with API testing tools and techniques.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
