Venturi, LLC, a Chenega company, has an excellent opportunity for a Systems Analyst I. Venturi is a subcontractor to a company that operates, maintains, and sustains mission-critical systems to provide safe and effective launch, testing, and tracking of Department of Defense, civil, commercial, and international space lift vehicles. We support ballistic missile, guided weapon, and aeronautical tests and evaluations as well as support space situational awareness operations and experiments to defend the United States to ensure our nation’s safety. This position is assigned to Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA.
Telecommuting is not available for this position.
- Prepare and provide progress reports, status reports, and briefings
- Assist with coordinating and communicating with senior leadership and site management regarding performance problems, issues, and improvement initiatives for Western Range (WR) Prime Mission Equipment (PME)
- Support the design, development, and performance of critical assessments of maintenance processes and procedures; make recommendations for continuous process improvement and assist with implementation
- Participate in various Operations & Maintenance (O&M) projects and perform qualitative and quantitative maintenance data analyses
- Support the development, production, and maintenance of various data products and perform an in-depth analysis of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) operations, while ensuring timeliness and accuracy of all data
- Coordinate and assist with the direct resolution efforts from the Maintenance Control Center (MxCC) for all PME maintenance issues encountered during most launch missions
- Research, analyze, and report on emerging negative trends to help coordinate corrective actions needed to ensure continued mission support capabilities
- Resolve customer concerns with analysis details and products and respond to suggestions for improvements
- Provide MXCC countdown support
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in business, education, maintenance, or related field OR
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and an additional 4+ years of experience
- 0-2 years of applicable experience performing critical thinking, analysis, and/or problem-solving related work or applicable range maintenance and/or operations
- Experience with the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
- Range experience with maintenance procedures that regulate site processes for management of maintenance, safety, logistics, technical data, security, facilities, and training is preferred
- Understanding of the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS), its relationship to PME preventive and corrective maintenance, and the computation and production of “Reliability, Maintainability, Availability” (RMA) data is preferred
- Understanding of the Range of launch requirements, maintenance, and operations activities, and their interrelationship is preferred
- Interim Secret clearance is required

- Ability to work multiple tasks concurrently and switch between tasks quickly
- Good written and verbal communication skills, and detail-oriented and ability to exercise diplomacy within a team environment
- Ability to organize and support meetings with the preparation of clear oral and written direction, correspondence, and reports
- Good problem-solving skills for data analysis and detection of latent issues in data products
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Occasional travel to instrumentation sites on Vandenberg AFB, Point Mugu NAS, and Pillar Point AFS
- The flexibility to work non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
- Must possess REAL ID Federal Compliant driver’s license
