Description
We are in search of a Data Engineer to join our team in the Business Management sector of our CPA Firm located in Chicago, Illinois. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, focusing on the management and organization of large scale data projects. As a Data Engineer, you will be tasked with handling customer inquiries, maintaining customer records, and processing applications with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Azure Data tools such as Azure Data Bricks, Data Factory, Synapse, etc. to manage large scale data projects.
- Employ SQL and tools like PySpark to facilitate data management and analysis.
- Engage in efficient and accurate processing of customer credit applications.
- Maintain precise customer credit records and monitor customer accounts.
- Use analytics and business intelligence (BI) to inform decision-making processes.
- Leverage skills in Apache Spark, Database, EO/IR systems, and Erwin Data to enhance data processing and management.
- Employ AWS Technologies to support data storage and retrieval.
- Utilize Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake to enhance data processing capabilities.
- Contribute to the development of business requirement documents to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Conduct AB Testing to evaluate the effectiveness of data management strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role within a CPA Firm or Business Management sector
- Proficiency in Apache Spark, Database, EO/IR systems, and Erwin Data
- Familiarity with HDFS and AB Testing
- Proven experience in Analytics and AWS Technologies
- Demonstrable knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) and Business Requirement Document
- Expertise in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to work independently and make critical decisions
- Familiarity with data architecture and data processing flowchart design
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, agile work environment is beneficial.
