Position Summary:
We are looking for a high-performing Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team and help build capabilities to enable the organization with innovation, speed, agility, scale and efficiency. You will partner with product owners, tech leads, software engineers and delivery professionals and produce a variety of Azure Cloud DevOps solutions. In addition to advanced technical expertise and experience you need to bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight and an inclusive teamwork attitude and continuous learning focus to all that you do.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide security services and support for Wilton Re’s business groups.
- Application vulnerability assessments automation
- Support secure application development practices and a secure development mentality.
- Identify, communicate, and provide targeted remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Develop and update security patterns aligned with security requirements.
- Identify application security requirements for projects.
- Coordinate and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Wilton Re assets that meets business needs.
- Perform other security-related projects that may be assigned according to skills.
- Work as an Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer, integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Automation of security controls and standards
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure infrastructure solutions using Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, SQL Managed Instances, Virtual Machines, key vaults, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016 and newer), Managed SQL Instance and Azure SQL. Experience should include, but not limited to, performance tuning and troubleshooting, database design and architecture, SQL security, SSIS, DTS, and Data Factory.
- Experience in the design and management of Azure NSGs and ASGs to support micro segmentation policies, and strategy.
- Experience scripting and Automation experience with PowerShell and Azure CLI.
- Understanding of identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, single sign-on (SSO).
- Experience with Agile methodology utilizing technology and tools such as Jira, Microsoft Teams, Azure DevOps Boards, and WIKI.
- Understanding of automated secure deployment pipelines that enable continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practice. This should include an understanding of Docker/Kubernetes/Containers GIT, secure service connections to Azure, and Trivy/SonarQube (or equiv.).
- Have a well-developed ability to logically troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure infrastructure, networking, security, and performance.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and availability of Azure resources.
- Experience defining and implementing best practices for resource utilization and cost management.
- Experience using various tools to monitor, manage, analyze, and optimize performance and scalability.
- Experience supporting day-to-day running of an enterprise infrastructure.
- Collaborate with software development teams to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability in cloud environments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on cloud architecture, DevOps best practices, and related technologies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Experience developing technology roadmaps and strategies that align with business/corporate goals with an eye toward leveraging applicable technologies that are robust and scalable to meet corporate and IT objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology. Advise on leading cloud practices and architectural approaches.
- Demonstrate robust performance ethos and personal commitment for outstanding customer service.
- Ability to interface with both technical and non-technical teams.
- A willingness to train and upskill on a continuous basis.
- Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
- Should hold relevant certification in security / Azure Cloud DevOps / DevOps, or a willingness to acquire.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ Years of experience
- Azure DevOps experience
- Experience supporting development teams.
- Agile Daily Scrum work board experience
- Experience setting up and managing monitors and alerts.
Required Education / Certifications
- Degree in related field desired

Minimal to no travel required
Base salary/hourly rate range for this position in Connecticut is between $100,000 and $150,000. Please note that specific compensation decisions are based upon a variety of job-related factors as permitted by law, including geographic location, credentials, skills, education, training and experience.
Base salary is just one component of Wilton Re’s total compensation package for employees. Additional compensation includes annual performance-based bonus, 401K with employer contribution, and profit-sharing program. Employee may also be eligible for long-term incentives (equity). All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
