Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Project Manager - Open Text. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing expeditor and expediting tasks, overseeing project management, conducting inspections, and handling logistics management. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and remotely.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Drives, directs, and manages high profile projects/programs for OpenText strategic clients within the Professional Services team, including on-premises, cloud, and managed services projects.
- Manages stakeholders’ communication, expectations, responsibilities, project schedules and timelines.
- Provides focal point for the customer relationship as it relates to delivery
- Uses best practice methodologies, processes, and tools to provide committed OpenText services.
- Reviews and approves all project deliverables, interprets the contract/SOW, serves as the primary escalation point for client personnel, and acts as the key resource held accountable for quality of delivery.
- Participates and leads kickoff calls, status meetings, and general meetings with project stakeholders
- Ensures the requirements of the customer are met through thorough understanding of their business requirements and objectives.
- Ensures effective collaboration across groups and all resources involved when delivering services and solutions to clients, ultimately in ensuring client expectations can be met.
- Manages the resolution of risks, including taking a lead role in organizing inter-departmental meetings to resolve customer issues and drive cross-functional issues to closure.
- Tracks program progress, identifies and mitigates risks, maintains effective communication with all program stakeholders and provides detailed reports of progress against plan.
- Formulates and takes corrective actions to mitigate deviations to the program plans and alerts management of potential problems when appropriate
Qualifications
- Experience in project management, expediting, and inspection
- Knowledge of logistics management
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience with Open Text is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration or Information Technology
