We need a part-time Event Marketing Specialist to help take Outfit to the next level and lead the growth of a new business line. This person is part of a small team that will help define the future of the agency and build a world-class body of work. You will report to the Managing Director.
The Event Marketing Specialist’s job is to help come up with great ideas for events and execute them at a high level. Events—both in-person and online—are a big part of our sales and marketing strategy as an agency. Plus we support our clients with highly-effective event marketing.
This is a hands-on role where you will strategize and orchestrate memorable events, including pre and post-event sales and marketing. You will be responsible for managing the P&L for all events, and turning events into a highly strategic arm and point of differentiation for the agency.
Key Skills & Competencies
- A love of people and bringing people together
- Expertise putting together thoughtful, creative experiences for groups ranging from 25 to 200+
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in social selling, to attract speakers, sponsors, and participants
- Entrepreneurial and ambitious self-starter
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Minimum of 3 years of event management experience
- Willing and eager to travel, with a focus on the West Coast
- Cleantech / renewable energy industry experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Grow events into a high-impact business division
- Develop ideas for events, in collaboration with the team
- Manage event production planning, execution, and P&L
- Creative comprehensive game plan for each event, clearly defining success and how to achieve it
- Own marketing and communication with all event stakeholders (attendee, speakers, sponsors), including RSVP process
- Oversee any photography and videography for events
- Collaborate with our Design Director to create compelling event marketing assets
Compensation & Growth Opportunity
- $60 - $75 per hour, depending on experience
- 10-15 hours per week to start
- We hope this person kicks ass, we continue to grow, and this person is eventually full-time.
