Hi folks! We're a boutique creative agency looking for our first ever Jr. Account Executive / Project Manager to join our team. The ideal person will be responsible for managing client accounts and overseeing project delivery across our 5 creative services - marketing, advertising, public relations, social media, and branding.
It kind of goes without saying that you should have a genuine love and interest for the world of communications, but maybe you never quite got the hang of the Adobe suite. Oh well - come to the account side instead!
There's client management pros like getting praise for keeping things under budget, and client management cons like explaining for the 4th time why they don't need a TikTok account (which might be an obsolete joke any minute now - and if you get why, then you should apply for this job).
There's creative team management pros like advising on exciting and clever ad campaigns, and creative team management cons like arguing with a tortured artist of a brand designer when their idea is too abstract.
There's also day-drinking, if you're into that kind of thing! Strong coffee is an acceptable alternative.
Now for the boring but important stuff:
Duties:
- Manage client relationships: ensuring clients happiness with the work and the communication from the creative team
- Communicate with clients: understand their needs and expectations, and relaying that to creative team
- Manage creative teams: ensuring team tasks are set & followed, and deliverables are on target
- Manage budgets: understanding the scope of client work and allocating team resources appropriately
- Ensure quality of creative services: understand the brief, align with creative team, and undergo quality assurance measures to make sure our work meets our standards
- Keep things on track via tech: use our project management platform to assign tasks, remind of deadlines, manage cloud drive files, set & manage dates in calendar, etc.
- Research: analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities (aka where we can upsell clients)
Experience:
- Proven experience in account management and project/team leadership
- Clear and deep understanding of creative communications services (marketing, advertising, public relations, social media, and branding)
- Ability to use project management platforms
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
