Title: Project Manager (PMP & Gov Exp)
Location: Albany, NY (HYBRID)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead large, complex IT projects for US Government agencies, meeting the defined criteria of budget, duration, funding sources, vendor management, stakeholder engagement, team organization, and end-user deployment.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including management of Charter, Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality, Communication, Change, Risk, Issue, and Resource management plans throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize project tracking tools like Microsoft Project to develop and manage formal project schedules, track progress, identify variances against baselines, and update schedules using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
- Develop and manage detailed Scope Documents, oversee project deliverables, manage acceptance processes, and handle project change requests.
- Ensure project quality through planning, assurance, testing, defect management, and governance processes.
- Manage both COTS software implementation projects and in-house application development (SDLC) projects.
- Maintain Project Management Professional Certification.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing and leading large, complex IT projects for US Government agencies.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid.
- Strong skills in budget management, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience presenting to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with project tracking tools like Microsoft Project.
- Familiarity with project quality planning, assurance, and testing processes.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required.
