Full Time Salary Position $50,000-$75,000 base per year plus bonus
Shaft’s Cheese & Co. is growing quickly and looking to add valuable team members. We are in immediate need of a sales coordinator to help us grow our foodservice distribution and retail relationships and expand into new territories through the country.
In this role, we seek an excellent presenter who can clearly relay our brand story and the value of our products. If you love showing people new products and like traveling, we would like to meet you.
Duties and responsibilities:
Overall Position Activity
- Travel and present to clients and tradeshows throughout the country
- Prepare pre/post tradeshow logistics, client lists, follow-up
- Meet new restaurants/retailers and showcase our products
- Develop and expand relationships with distributors and end customers;
- Helps brand our products to the overall market
Sales Coordinator Responsibilities
- Responsible for growing overall market share
· Sales responsibilities in both the foodservice and retail channels displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features
• Uses POS to quote pricing and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained
• In synergy with marketing, develop promotional plans and data entry into various distributor systems
• Setup new clients and/or Shaft’s into the systems of those said clients
• Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules
• Enter sample orders for distributors or end customers and follow-up for review after delivery
· Constantly communicate with distributors about new products, current offerings, and updates to market activities.
- Develop the assigned territory by prospecting, promoting and presenting all Shaft’s Cheese products
- Research new account opportunities that we should pursue
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential and determine the growth potential of existing and prospective customers;
- Communicate and strategize regularly with owners and marketing in all shows/opportunities/promotions/etc
- Establish and maintain working relationship with all internal partners
- Effectively communicate the state of the business to owners on a regular cadence
- Represent company at major industry events, conferences, trade shows and expositions
- Engage in educational and team building activities to strengthen personal and professional development
- Manage and report travel expenses consistent with company policies using Netsuite.
Requirements
- 3 years B2B sales experience;
- Preferred at least 3 years of experience in the foodservice/restaurant industry with roles in sales/customer service/operations;
- High energy and enthusiastic
- Self-starter
- Likes cheese 😊
- Valid Driver’s License and be able to provide a proof of car insurance;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
- Approximately 80% of the work is done on the road, ability to travel is a must.
