Job Overview:
The role of Director of Operations has primary responsibility of oversight of operations. Given the early-stage nature of the venture, you will be expected to “roll up your sleeves” and not only oversee operational tasks but also directly participate in the operational functioning of the organization. We are looking for someone who is hungry, dedicated, and resilient, who can tackle roles both small and large. That person should embrace “getting in the weeds” and doing any work needed to ensure successful operations, with an eye towards process improvement, standardization, and automation along the way.
This is an opportunity to help build a brand new way of delivering musculoskeletal (MSK) care and to be the first dedicated operations professional on the team. You will partner with a team of clinicians, front-office staff, and back-office staff in delivering upon major objectives. It is expected that the Director of Operations will embrace performing the entire spectrum of tasks - from “in the weeds” to high-level organizational - towards to goal of laying the foundation of a high-performing operational division.
Your work will include (but not be limited to) oversight and actual performance of the following:
- Clinical operations, including (but not limited to) tasks related to scheduling, reporting, documentation integrity, and patient engagement
- Data analytics and reporting of clinical performance, user engagement, financial performance, and any/all reports relevant for customer success.
- Insurance contracting/credentialing
- Coordination of clinical scheduling practices
- Recruitment, training and scaling the clinical and operational teams while ensuring high quality, efficient care
- Oversight of telehealth front office and back office workflows found in a typical medical private practice, including but not limited to patient scheduling, insurance/benefit verification, claims submissions, provider credentialing and contracting
Additional tasks include creation and implementation of standard operating protocols (“SOPs”), participation in leadership and/or customer meetings, and any other tasks that will contribute to the success of the venture.
This role reports directly to the President with a “dotted-line” to the Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications:
- Track record of success in operational roles within healthcare delivery organizations, ideally in digital health companies
- Experience with tracking staff resource utilization, and with recruiting and coordinating staff to meet clinical and operational demands
- Ability to develop and maintain processes to achieve measurable, repeatable, and scalable targets, including creation of KPI dashboarding and process flow visualizations
- Prior Director-level (or higher) experience in healthcare delivery is a plus
- Experience with insurance, revenue cycle management, and credentialing a plus (especially using platforms such as Availity, CAQH, and portals from major commercial payors)

- $120-160k total compensation package
