Position Summary:
This position will assist the Scheduling Analytics Committee by formulating and applying data analysis to pilot scheduling information to educate the membership, formulate scheduling recommendations,

• Monitor and update reports and subscriptions and create new analytics through
SQL/Excel/BI
• Import flight, pairing and line data downloaded/sent from Southwest Airlines into the
Association’s database
• Review statistics and reports for trends/anomalies
• Coordinate development and deployment of updates to SRC tools on mobile app and website
• Liaise with Southwest Airlines for CMS updates and database impact
• Capture Southwest Airlines communication such as Flight Ops updates on vacancies, upgrades, new hires
• Assist with preparing presentations for various briefs and meetings
• Contribute to and manage scheduling committee education and communication
• Customer (Pilot) Service – Assist with phone and email on scheduling/contract inquiries and SAC tools
Education & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• At least 5 years’ experience in contract administration, flight operation, or crew support or scheduling is preferred
• At least 5 years’ experience in data analytics (e.g., Power BI, SQL server) is preferred
• Airline experience is preferred; Southwest Airlines specific experience is a plus
• Understanding of airline crew optimization and programs
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams
• MSSQL Server– writing SQL code, turning queries into reports and working within the MSSQL management studio system, setting up and monitoring ETL’s is preferred
• Business Intelligence Tools – Power BI, other Business intelligence suites is preferred
• Proven ability to coordinate & manage the efforts of the team (committee Pilots and SWAPA staff) to produce data products
• Ability to manage documents and experience with virtual fIling
• Ability to communicate with Association Members both verbally and in writing (primarily email)
• Must be able to write, edit and proofread various communication
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple ongoing projects with deadlines.

• Keying / typing, sitting for extended periods of time, standing, walking
• Ability to spend large periods of time viewing computer monitor(s)
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
• Ability to travel, including but not limited to driving, to/from various locations including conferences, trainings, and/or attendance at Association events
• Potential standing for long periods of time in support of Union-related activities such as picketing
• Constant mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness in an office environment
