Edkey is an edtech start-up connecting learners and educators in and outside the classroom to ensure learners reach their full potential. Our mission is to make our learning collaboration, communication and knowledge apps accessible and affordable directly to consumers as well as licensing to schools and government agencies. We use cutting-edge technologies (artificial intelligence, Web 3.0, etc.) to ensure positive learner outcomes and meaningful educator collaborations. Ekdey has created a unique new web and mobile app to help students better prepare for tests and finals. About the Role
- This is a remote, 3-month internship position.
- Potential for full-time or ongoing contract work beyond.
- Initially 20 hrs per week (but that could expand initially)
- Hours are flexible but working/meetings in afternoons Pacific Time is a requirement (engineering team is based in Hong Kong and India).
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze A/B tests, market-based tests, etc. and conduct other forms of causal inference and quantitative research to help us rigorously learn about our users and trends
- Inform future experimentation design and roadmaps by performing exploratory analysis to understand user engagement behavior and derive insights
- Help solve problems, narrowing down multiple options into the best approach, and take ownership of open-ended ambiguous business problems to reach an optimal solution.
- Build and maintain company-level product and business dashboards
- Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support business reviews with the full executive team including business, marketing, design, operations and product and engineering teams, and translate analysis results to business insights or product improvement opportunities.
- Partner with Product Managers and Product Designers to help define and maintain metrics for features, launches, and the ongoing full user journey
- Help our go-to-market team measure and analyze opportunities across our user acquisition channels, campaigns, and funnels.
- Work with Engineers to define and maintain core data events and tables
Requirements:
- Significant experience writing complex yet efficient SQL queries
- Experience with scripting/coding for quantitative research and analysis (e.g. Python, R)
- Experience with data visualizations tools (e.g. Mixpanel) and techniques
- Deep understanding of statistical analysis, experimentation design, and common analytical techniques like regression and decision trees
- Experience using analytics to drive key product and business decisions
- Experience working with data from consumer mobile and web products
- Experience identifying and defining product tracking needs and event schemas necessary for answering key business questions and deriving user insights
- Proven track record of being able to work autonomously and proactively engage with stakeholders
- Experience presenting data and insights in digestible and actionable ways
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field

- Understanding of or experience with user insights and market trends in Edtech
