The Tiffany Effect are seeking an enthusiastic social media intern to manage day to day social media postings and create content for our wedding planning company. This role is primarily responsible for daily posting and scheduling on Instagram as well as capturing content at our events to curate engaging posts, stories, reels, and videos. This role works collaboratively with the Owner and Lead Event Planner of The Tiffany Effect to execute the company’s social media strategy.
This role is intended for someone who understands and has the ability to handle our social channels, has strong writing skills, knowledge of analytical tools, and is enthusiastic about joining a young, woman-owned company that has rapidly grown over the last few years. This candidate has an instinct for what’s on (and off) brand, current social media trends, has an eye for powerful visuals, understands how data can inform a smart strategy, and is an expert at managing deadlines. This position is ideal for a Houston-based candidate, as this person will invited to attend client and industry events for live footage when necessary. Compensation can be discussed. Available for internship credit, pending your department’s approval.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Create and manage day-to-day posting, editing, and optimization of content primarily on Instagram and Facebook, with an appetite to create a Tik Tok in the future
· Be adept at maximizing views by knowing how to most effectively and efficiently distribute content.
· Keep up on social media trends and maximize the relevancy of our company’s social content
· Record live event footage and create engaging reels, videos, and posts to use on Instagram and/or Tik Tok
· Have a keen understanding of trending audio, trending hashtags, trending challenges, etc and provide direction to team and external parties, when applicable
· Build creative assets for various social media platforms when necessary.
· Make daily recommendations to and work closely with the owner of the company
Requirements:
· Currently pursuing a Marketing, Communications, or related major
· 1-2 years of social media experience required (managing your own social media is fine!)
· Passionate about social media and growing audiences
· Positive team player and an enthusiastic work ethic
· Strong writing and communication skills
· Understanding of social media analytics and experience optimizing content
· Knowledge of content creation platforms used for social media such as Canva
· Knowledge of video editing/reel making
· Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail
