DataStaff, Inc is in need of a Solutions Architect for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients located in Richmond, VA.
*This position is mostly remote; however, some onsite work may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Create overall application and solution architectures, component designs, and systems integration and implementations for a particular business solution.
- Lead efforts in defining, documenting and estimating the following for enterprise applications.
- Capture requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, on- prem, hybrid and cloud topologies, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, system inputs and output.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to assess business needs and requirements and translate them into automated solutions
- Produce relevant solution design artifacts including but not limited to technical estimates, conceptual, logical and physical system designs, sequence diagrams, and data models
- Coordinate new system development to ensure it is consistent and well integrated with existing application systems and COTS solutions
- Collaborate with Business areas and cross- functional Enterprise Architects to fully understand business needs and provide strategic consultation
- Partner with architects, other technical team members and to develop roadmaps and strategies to support agency KPIs
- Design/Implement Enterprise Security/technology Patterns
- Consult with teams as needed on initiatives and provide tactical direction as well as provide architecture considerations on legacy solutions
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience with SAFe architecture and proven work experience with Agile/Scrum teams.
- Proven experience in developing enterprise and solution level architectural designs.
- Proven experience in overseeing the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.
- Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping.
- Competency with XML constructs and schemas.
- Confidence and experience with API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST.
- Strong understanding of end-user needs and requirements.
- C#, Web Services (WCF, Web API), JQuery, T-SQL, PL/SQL, etc.) within both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with Angular / Blazor or any similar front-end technologies.
- Hands-on experience with project online API's
- Experience with Microservices architecture, Azure Architecture, Domain driven architecture.
- Experience with Azure native application development, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container instances, Kubernetes & Containers (Docker), Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus & Event Grid) ,Azure SQL Database, Azure Web Jobs, SQL Server IaaS, Azure Monitoring and Application Insights
- Knowledge and experience with configuration management and automation technologies such as Azure Devops, PowerShell, Terraform, Chef, and ARM Templates
Required Skills:
- 8 Years - Experience in enterprise-level application design and integration
- 8 Years - Experience in Azure (cloud-native and hybrid architecture)
- 8 Years - Experience in SaaS (Software as a Service) architecture
- 8 Years - Experience with integration architecture and proven work experience with Agile/Scrum teams
- 2 Years - Experience working with Azure Data factory, Azure Data Lake
- 5 Years - Experience with Docker and azure cloud services such as AKS, Azure functions, Azure Container Service, Azure App services, Azure API Management
- 5 Years - Experience with Microservices architecture, Azure architecture, Domain driven architecture
Desired Skills:
- 1 Year - Experience with Spatial Architecture (ArcGIS specifically)
