Your Role:
We have found success in using generative AI models for designing custom enzymes for specific reactions. The successful applicant will help develop, benchmark, and test new methods and models for protein design, which will be prospectively validated on our experimental platforms.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Pursuing a MS or PhD in Bioinformatics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Structural Biology, or a related scientific field.
- Experience with machine learning.
- Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the duration of the 12-week internship (May/June - August).
- Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with machine learning (ML) architectures for sequence- or structure-based protein design models (LLMs, diffusion models, flow-matching, CNNs, GNNs, etc.).
- Experience analyzing protein-protein interactions and surfaces.
- Experience analyzing antibody repertoires and structures.
- Experience with molecular simulation techniques.
