We are building a product that is significantly transforming people's lives. We are looking for a passionate, hard-working, and mission-driven engineering lead who enjoys tackling complex problems and excels in the high-energy environment of a startup in its early stages.
While one of the co-founders previously built a unicorn healthcare startup, BIOVERSE is a lean, flat culture where everyone’s perspective is valued. We are working hard to ensure patients can access high-quality longevity treatments anywhere. This means working Monday through Friday in the office. Hours tend to be longer than at most companies because we work hard to serve our patients and ensure that we can achieve our mission to improve health and longevity, making science-backed longevity treatments accessible to all.
Our culture is focused on what we can do to serve our patients. All full-time team members will be equity holders in the business, as we firmly believe that all team members should be literal and figurative owners in what we are building. This is a full-time and in-person position located in New York. If you are looking for a remote or hybrid position, this is not the right fit for you.
The role involves
- Working closely with the co-founder and CEO, who oversees the product
- Hands-on development and coding of our digital solutions
- This is a player/coach role, responsible for building the product, leading and developing a team of three full-stack engineers - the team will continue to grow as we scale
- Strategic planning and execution to align software development with our product roadmap
- Leading or participating in daily standup meetings, weekly sprints (or a more fluid Kanban process)
- Holding yourself and the team accountable to meet our product development roadmap
- Guiding system architecture, database design, and other key decisions to make the product accessible to patients
- Fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability within the team
About You
- 3+ years in lead engineering positions at early-stage high-growth startups.
- Strong technical background with experience in full-stack development.
- Able to see a problem from both the product and business perspectives.
- Relentless resourcefulness and an ownership mindset.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment that requires adaptability.
- Always learning and curious; open to new ideas and experimentation.
- Mix of creativity and ability to implement, evaluating tradeoffs between quality and speed.
- Strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
- Strong desire to be a part of a fast-paced startup.
- Able to work onsite in New York City.
- Legally authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.
