We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Los Angeles Unified School District. In this role, you will provide administrative support to the school district's office, ensuring efficient operations and smooth functioning of administrative processes. As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, you will represent the school district in a professional and courteous manner. Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and point them in the direction of the proper staff - Take calls and route them to the relevant departments
- Help arrange appointments and meetings for administrators; - Accurately and discreetly maintain and update student and staff data;
- Draft and disseminate letters, memos, and other materials
- Help plan and arrange staff travel and lodging; - Participate in event and meeting preparation and organization
- Keep track of office supply inventory and place new orders as needed - Handle typical administrative tasks, such as document scanning, filing, and photocopying
- As assigned, offer administrative support to other departments
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Suite
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Professional and courteous demeanor
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of educational systems and processes is a plus
