The primary function of a Medical Records Coordinator (MRC) is to appropriately and accurately verify and process requests from outside sources in a timely manner. The ideal candidate must be extremely detail-oriented, organized, and be able to follow polices and HIPPA regulations. The MRC must also be comfortable learning different EMR systems. Candidates will be part of a fast-paced "team" environment working with law firms, subpoena companies, and doctor offices.
Job details:
- Review, maintain, audit records request in a timely manner
- Maintain HIPPA compliance and client confidentiality
- Ensure that records & invoices are received, paid, approved, and documented
- Work closely with team and communicate the status of requests and records thoroughly and efficiently
- Proficient phone and telecommunication skills
- Monitor and respond to multiple inboxes
- Scan/upload patient information into corresponding EMR system
- Minimum: 1 year of medical records experience
- Bilingual English and Spanish required
- EMR experience
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Preferred: PI experience
