Our Product:
PayClock Online is web-based time clock software system that gives the customer the ability to manage employee time and attendance from any location, at any time. PayClock Online allows you to setup employee schedules, manage benefit time balances and accruals, set up employee and supervisor user profiles, as well as granting access to both a web portal and mobile applications. It also allows you to capture, edit and seamlessly integrate your workforce time and attendance data into payroll systems such as ADP, QuickBooks, Paychex, Greenshades, etc. PayClock Online also syncs with our line of physical time clocks that offer a variety of clock-in methods, such as pin entry, badge, or biometric options with fingerprint scanning or face detection.
Job Description:
Our Mid-Level Quality Assurance Engineer (QA) will provide our customers with the best experience possible. Our Mid-Level QA must ensure that our products meet our standards of quality, reliability, ease of use, and performance. They must clearly communicate to our team, other departments, stakeholders, as well as customers. They will assist in developing and improving test plans, and adhere to those plans and SCRUM practices, to deliver bug-free and feature rich products. Our Mid-Level QA will be responsible for acceptance testing on our web and mobile interfaces, along with our growing line of physical clocks. They will manage and maintain printed and electronic documents related to Lathem products. Additionally they will field and resolve assigned escalations from our customer ticketing system.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Isolate, replicate, and report defects and bad experiences
- Develop detailed test plans for new features to our software, applications, and hardware
- Stress, sanity, smoke and regression testing to identify all limitations and edge cases when our products are exposed to power outages, network and connectivity issues, user errors, various OS and browser combinations, setup environments, etc.
- Develop thorough regression test plans for existing software, applications, and hardware
- Investigate and assist customer escalations from our call center
- Troubleshoot and identify root causes of bad experiences and bugs through the entire software and product development life cycle
- Review specifications, technical designs, and mockups to provide timely, critical, and meaningful feedback
- Develop brief training and documentation for our customer support team
- Produce and maintain our printed and electronic documents for our products
- Organize and maintain our help software and documents for our web and mobile applications
- Assisting in the research and development of custom exports and reports
- Mandatory accessibility during our core work hours, 9:00AM EST – 2:30PM EST
- Accountable for tracking individual time working on items
Mandatory Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of QA methodologies and processes
- Strong computer, mobile, and online skills
- Basic network experience
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Passion for making excellent customer experiences including improving our Net Promoter Score (NPS)
- 2+ year(s) of relevant QA technical experience or educational equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Suitable home office for remote work, including but not limited to; reliable network connection, adequate desk space for monitors and equipment, free from external distractions, etc.
- Current with emergent technologies
- Able to multi-task and switch priority when required
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with little to no supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Microsoft DevOPs (formerly Visual Studio Online/TFS), Visual Studio, and Azure
- Mobile testing experience
- Familiarity with mobile troubleshooting and debugging techniques on Android and iOS platforms
- BS or BA degree in IT or computer sciences
- Basic knowledge of SQL and scripting
- Able to interpret HTML, C#, and JavaScript
- Previous experience writing and maintaining product manuals (user guides, quick start guides)
- Previous experience with MadCAP products (Doc2Help, Flare)
- Hands-on experience with automated testing platforms such as AccelQ, Selenium, etc.
- Experience with security and firewall testing
- Experience with payroll systems such as Paychex, ADP, QBO, etc.
- Familiarity with SDLC
- Experience with agile frameworks and lean development

Work Location:
This position is a hybrid remote position in Atlanta, Georgia. You will be required to work Monday through Thursday in office and can work remotely on Fridays during the probationary period. The number of days you are allowed to work remotely will increase based on performance, up to and including fully remote.
