ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director of e-commerce Marketing will drive the overall strategy and increase acquisitions. The ideal candidate is highly analytical and lives in the data. You proactively look through the traffic and conversion data for opportunities to deploy new strategies. You are fearless in digging in and identifying root causes of variances in traffic and revenue related to particular strategies.
We seek a marketing leader to build the E-commerce marketing function in-house. This will be an individual contributor role that starts with the expectation of building a team. We are looking for individuals who have deep subject matter expertise driving paid and organic programs in an e-commerce or online lead-gen company.
What You Will Do:
- Drive the overall E-commerce marketing strategy to double online sales within 12 months.
- Be the subject matter expert in paid, organic SEM/SEO, lead generation, and email marketing campaigns.
- Evaluate current marketing infrastructure, architecture, and strategies and drive continuous improvement.
- Implement, run, and work in various paid and organic marketing tools to monitor traffic data and act accordingly.
- Source and manage vendors, contractors, and partners with an emphasis on offshoring.
- Design, implement, and manage various projects.
- Design and executed various paid and organic acquisition strategies, including those for online and other media channels.
- Work with content marketers to create and distribute compelling, SEO-friendly content tailored to overall revenue goals.
- Set goals for the department and attend weekly leadership team meetings.
- Hire and grow an internal team as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
- 5-10 years in a B2B e-commerce environment.
- Comfortable being accountable for KPIs and managing others in the same manner.
- Mastery of SEM and SEO best practices, on-page optimization techniques, keywords, ROAS, and A/B testing
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Advanced expertise in Google Analytics
- Up-to-date with the evolving online marketing ecosystem, including Google algorithms, AI applications, and omnichannel strategies
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Experienced sourcing and managing offshore teams for projects and programs, both long and short-term.
