Job Summary/Purpose
Neurolens is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and strategic-minded Commercial Data Analyst to lead the transformation and expansion of our commercial data into actionable insights, driving informed decisions and strategies across our organization, and maximize our business development potential. This role will play a pivotal part in advancing our data analytics capabilities, particularly within our sales teams, where there is a need for rapid maturation. Working closely with senior leadership and across our commercial teams, the analyst will craft compelling visualizations and deliver clear insights to maximize our product footprint in our evolving eyecare industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Data Analysis and Forecasting:
- Utilize advanced analytics techniques to analyze disparate commercial data, identifying trends and forecasting outcomes.
- Drive the development of predictive models to support strategic business initiatives and enhance decision-making processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and customer service, to ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Act as a key liaison between the commercial and operational teams, bridging the gap to ensure alignment on data needs and insights.
- Compelling Data Visualization:
- Develop visually engaging and easily understandable data visualizations and reports tailored to various stakeholders, including field-based sales teams and senior leadership.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions and drive performance improvements.
- CRM Data Management and Optimization:
- Lead efforts to manage and optimize the use of CRM data, ensuring data accuracy and integrity while maximizing opportunities for insight generation.
- Identify gaps in existing data infrastructure and drive initiatives to enhance data quality and accessibility for the salesforce.
- Continuous Improvement and Capability Building:
- Drive the continuous improvement of data analytics practices within the sales team, advocating for the adoption of best practices and innovative approaches.
- Provide training and support to empower the commercial team to leverage data effectively in their day-to-day operations.
Education, Experience, And Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, computer/data science, or a related field required
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst (or similar) role, with proven experience in commercial data analysis, forecasting, and modeling; Preferably within the healthcare or eyecare industry.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI is required. Experience with other data visualization tools, such as Tableau, is preferred.
- Expertise in data analysis and insight generation within a commercial context, demonstrating strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences and confidently present insights amongst senior leadership, dynamic commercial teams, and, in rare cases, directly to customers.
- Strong experience with CRM systems, particularly HubSpot (and experience with HubSpot administration), is preferred. Experience with other CRM systems such as Salesforce is a plus.
- Familiarity with reading/writing SQL along with understanding general data architecture principles is required.
- The ability and desire to stay at the forefront of insight generation tools and strategies (namely emerging AI tools) is necessary.
- Python experience is preferred.
