Regel Therapeutics is a gene modulation therapy company focused on improving the life of patients suffering from disorders resulting from alteration of gene expression. Our proven T3 (Targeted Therapeutic Technology) platform combines AAV delivery with two proprietary technologies for efficient and specific restoration of gene expression exclusively in the cells affected by the pathology. We are a seed-stage startup based in Cambridge, MA and Berkeley, CA and we are looking for a talented Research Scientist to join our R&D team in Cambridge, MA to help develop our preclinical programs.

Role Responsibilities
- Perform proof-of-concept experiments to support in vitro preclinical development efforts
- Develop protocols for pluripotent stem cell maintenance and differentiation
- Evaluate efficacy and efficiency of differentiation protocols
- Implement in vitro screening and validation methodology
- Clear communication of experimental planning, timeline, and obstacles to project lead
- Analyze experimental results and communicate research findings to leadership
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of activities
Required Qualifications
- PhD in cell biology, developmental biology, molecular biology, or related field
- Background in neuroscience/central nervous system biology
- Significant experience with human pluripotent stem cell culture, maintenance, and differentiation
- Expertise in mammalian cell culture techniques including FACS, IF, and ELISA / MSD / Simple Western
- Strong molecular biology skills including DNA/RNA extraction, qPCR, protein quantification, and molecular cloning
- Competence in experimental design and troubleshooting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills & proven track record of working in collaborative environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing and implementing in vitro strength and potency assays for clinical product testing
- Experience working with AAVs and lentiviruses
- Expertise in cell electrophysiology or multi-electrode array systems
- Experience producing libraries for bulk or single cell RNA sequencing
- Basic computational biology skills to interpret differential expression analysis
