This role requires a minimum of 8 years' experience as a Data SME and requires finance/investment knowledge AND experience in the insurance industry.
Role Overview:
- The person would be working with Investment team for a major Insurance client. The ideal candidate will be a Data SME with Finance/Investment knowledge. Investment actuary with strong data expertise in SQL, Excel, Transformation, Data reconciliation, etc. or investment profile with expertise in data.
- The person should be able to create/help build a mapping exercise for the investment data coming from various sources.
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL to create business logic and joins between datasets.
- Advance level knowledge of MS Excel.
- Basic understanding of AWS
- Basic understanding of Power Query and Power Automate
- Should be independently able to conduct data analysis on results produced by financial models.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s/master's degree in either finance, Investments, computer science, IT
- 10-12 years' experience as a Data SME with Finance/Investment knowledge. Investment actuary with strong data expertise in SQL, Excel, Transformation, Data reconciliation, etc. or investment profile with expertise in data.
- 4+ years of experience working as part of Data Tech / Engineering or IT team. Should have fair understanding of Relational database concepts.
- Expert in SQL and MS Excel
- Experience in insurance preferred.
- Experience in Clearwater Accounting platform or similar accounting platform is preferred
- Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical team members.
