Salary Range: $75,000 - $105,000
Position Summary
The Marketing Front-End Developer is responsible for the building, optimizing, testing, and ongoing maintenance of forward-facing web applications and other front-end user experiences on the Scrum Alliance website. The Marketing Front-End Developer is a key contributor to our marketing and development teams, responsible for delivering high-performing, visually brand-aligned, and seamless user experiences on the website while serving to bridge the gap between front-end development and our back-end development teams. As a detail-oriented professional with coding, web design, and website performance skills, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring our brand to life online. This role requires a balance of creative innovation, technical proficiency, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Website Management
- Direct the day-to-day management of the Scrum Alliance website, ensuring content is up-to-date, visually appealing, and aligned with brand standards.
- Proactively recommend and implement updates and enhancements to the website, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
- Ideate ways to enhance the user experience and engagement with the website.
Front-End Development
- Utilize coding skills, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to create and maintain web pages and features.
- Proficient use of a CMS (experience with Sitefinity preferred), migrating designs from Figma into a CMS, responsive design and UI/UX experience.
- Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to integrate front-end elements with server-side logic.
- Follow existing design and code standards and contribute to improving them.
User Experience (UX)
- Ensure the website is user-friendly and optimized for usability across all devices.
- Conduct regular A/B and usability testing and gather user feedback to inform improvements and validate performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Marketing, Product, and IT teams to understand project objectives, target audience, and brand guidelines.
- Coordinate release plans with the IT team.
- Participate in the planning and execution of cross-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring digital consistency.
Performance Monitoring
- Experience supporting SEO efforts, monitoring website performance, and troubleshooting issues.
- Utilize analytics tools, especially Google Analytics, to track and report on website traffic, user behavior, and other key metrics.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the website.
Required Skills/Abilities
Technical Proficiency
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, web accessibility, SEO, testing and debugging, cross-browser development
- Experience with content management systems (CMS and website analytics and testing tools.
- Experience with Sitefinity CMS preferred

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in web design, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in front-end development or web design.
- Experience with responsive design and mobile optimization required (examples: Bootstrap, Flex, or CSS Grid).
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is preferred.
