Role Overview: As a Project Manager at Summit K12, you will be instrumental in managing projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of top-tier educational materials. This role offers a clear career path, with the potential to advance to a Product Management position within a year for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans using tools such as Atlassian and monday.com.
- Ensure projects are delivered on scope, budget, and timeline, providing essential logistical and administrative support.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely in written communications.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, leveraging creative problem-solving and strong interpersonal skills to drive project success.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track key milestone deliverables and monitor project progress across scope, time, costs, risks, and quality.
- Manage production schedules to ensure timely project delivery.
Documentation and Archiving:
- Coordinate with various teams to maintain and archive project documentation.
- Provide regular project status updates to the VP of Product Management and other relevant departments.
Process Improvement:
- Evaluate and refine processes to enhance efficiency and timeliness.
- Enforce deadlines diplomatically and address issues promptly and professionally.
Multitasking and Deadline Management:
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Assess and report daily progress using project management tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3-5+ years of project management experience in the educational publishing industry.
- Proficiency in project management software and collaboration tools such as Google Suite, Slack, Atlassian, and monday.com.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly learn institutional processes and coordinate with various departments.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
