Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Head of AI and Machine Learning to lead our AI initiatives and drive the development of advanced machine learning solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI, machine learning, and data science, coupled with excellent leadership and strategic planning skills. In particular, they will be skilled at productizing AI in a tangible way that enables us to deliver new efficiencies and feature sets to our users. This role will be crucial in shaping the AI strategy and ensuring the successful implementation of AI-driven projects across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive AI and machine learning strategy aligned with the company's overall vision and goals.
- Identify and prioritize AI-driven opportunities that can deliver significant business value.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI researchers.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.
AI Solution Development:
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and AI solutions.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of AI systems.
- Productize AI into tangible features, transforming complex AI concepts into user-friendly products and services.
Research and Innovation:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies and methodologies.
- Drive innovation by exploring new techniques and tools to enhance AI capabilities.
- Leverage expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and ranking algorithms to develop cutting-edge solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, including product management, engineering, and operations, to integrate AI solutions into products and services.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into AI-driven solutions.
Data Strategy:
- Develop and implement data strategies to ensure high-quality data collection, preprocessing, and management.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
Performance Monitoring:
- Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of AI initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of AI models, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in AI and machine learning, with a track record of leading successful AI projects.
- Strong expertise in machine learning algorithms, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
- Proficiency in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and ranking algorithms.
- Proven ability to productize AI into tangible features that enhance user experiences and deliver business value.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on delivering measurable results.
