The Rippling Brand Marketing team is a group of marketing managers responsible for bringing Rippling’s brand to life. We’re looking for a Freelance Customer Marketing Manager to help scale our customer marketing program.
About the role
Customer Marketing is not just storytelling. It is passionate advocacy for our customers, understanding their needs, telling their stories, and building relationships that are mutually beneficial that will earn us their advocacy in return.
We need a well-rounded relationship builder with high EQ to build our customer marketing engine from the ground up. This includes building our customer advocacy program, growing and nurturing our customer reference list for Sales, dreaming up and flawlessly executing end-to-end campaigns and, of course, curating insightful customer stories. We have a long list of customers ready to sing our praises, all we have to do is give them the mic.
What you will do
- Establish strong relationships with customers so that we can call on them for activities as needed
- Create compelling stories that highlight how we empower our customers
- Curate a library of customer generated content including online reviews, video testimonials, case studies, and more
- Represent the customer internally and advocate for them
- Integrate the customer voice into everything we do including comms, social, digital, demand generation, sales, and customer success
- Support customer marketing initiatives and events such as conferences, newsletters, swag programs, etc.
- Identify areas of improvement across all existing customer marketing programs, content, and channels, such as templates, processes, and organizational design
What you will need
- 3+ years of experience working in a customer marketing-related role (customer marketing, product marketing, etc)
- Experience in various research methods ranging from interviews and customer panels to data-driven surveys and qualitative studies
- An understanding of how to leverage the customer voice to drive business growth
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise messaging
- High EQ with a proven track record of timely responsiveness and managing multiple complex programs running simultaneously
- Proven ability and desire to develop deep relationships and influence cross-functional teams
- Results-oriented with the proven ability to measure impact of customer marketing initiatives and programs
- Strong project management skills
