Hinge is a full-service eCommerce marketplace management agency based in Cincinnati, Ohio, but is a remote workplace. Hinge is adept at helping mid-size to large global brands establish, manage, and grow their business on Amazon, Walmart, and other marketplace sites. Hinge acts as an extension of our client’s team, working in tandem to analyze products, categories, and competitive data to develop and execute strategies for success. The ideal candidate will be able to appropriately identify the needs of both new and current customers to aid them in their success using our services. This will be done by developing an appropriate level of communication with clients and internal team members to better understand and mitigate any issues the customers may face.
Position Description
Hinge seeks a smart, inventive, and enthusiastic candidate as an Account Manager to join Hinge's account management team. We are seeking a customer-obsessed individual with strong business acumen, e-commerce experience, strong organization skills, a curious mind, and passion for retail. A successful candidate will remain up to date on new e-commerce trends, including but not limited to product innovation, keywords/SEO, marketplace strategy shifts; and will have an aptitude for learning new technology, tools and techniques in support of Hinge's clients' goals. This person will be responsible for developing client channel management strategy (assortment, promotion, and optimized content recommendations), annual financial plans and monthly forecasts, with weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting to clients with insights and action steps. A successful candidate will work directly with clients and the Hinge cross functional team to define and execute client strategies on Amazon, as well as expanding to other marketplaces (i.e. Wal-Mart, Target, etc.). This successful candidate will have their finger on the pulse of all things e-commerce within these platforms and will have an analytical-minded passion to dive deep, try new things and push boundaries. This person will be comfortable working in a start-up environment where creativity, invention, and adaptability are important characteristics of success. This person will partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand our clients’ business needs, sales priorities, and develop solutions that help to scale their business. This person will be highly collaborative, have a high level of customer focus, cultural sensitivity, and a passion for solving complex challenges. You should be a motivated self-starter that can work both independently and with others in a fast pace, ambiguous and fluid environment. You must have excellent business writing and communication skills.
You will be working within the marketplaces listed below:
· Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central (prior experience on either Amazon platform is required)
· Wal-Mart Marketplace
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and implement comprehensive channel management strategies to increase sales, visibility, and brand recognition across the Amazon and/or Wal-Mart marketplaces.
· Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual business recaps including analysis, insights, and action steps to increase sales, and maintain health of customer’s accounts.
· Work with Director of Account/Project Management to build and maintain annual financial plans with monthly forecasting updates.
· Conduct competitive research to stay informed on fluctuations and changes in the marketplace environment that could impact the overall success of business.
· Work closely with our cross functional team, communicating with all stakeholders regarding marketplace, product, pricing, and promotional strategies to ensure customers' success.
· Create and maintain relationships with customers to better understand and achieve their goals.
· Staying informed with e-commerce retail industry best practices, new trends and technologies, marketplaces, and platform updates (i.e. Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, etc.).
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing or relevant field.
· A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in e-commerce or Amazon experience.
· Experience operating on Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central, required.
· Previous account management experience, preferred.
· Excellent data and analytic abilities.
· Thrives in an autonomous working environment.
· Reliable, takes initiative and finds ways to solve problems independently, has a curious mind.
· Skilled multi-tasker, ability to manage numerous client/brand needs and strategies.
· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
· Articulate and well accustomed to a client facing role.
