Responsibilities:
- Design and implement AI/ML to enhance RPM device functionality.
- Ability to translate clinical requirements into detailed technical specifications and implement solutions independently.
- Optimise AI/ML algorithms for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Stay updated on AI advancements and apply them to healthcare challenges.
General Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, MATLAB, etc
- Self driven and ability to work independently from scratch
- Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience deploying AI models in production environments.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Technical Requirements:
- Expert in feature extraction from biomedical signals (e.g., ECG) using advanced time-domain, frequency-domain, and wavelet techniques, including vital sign and low-frequency signal analysis.
- Experience with PCA, ICA, and t-SNE for high-dimensional data analysis.
- Proven expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models in MATLAB, including CNNs, RNNs, ensemble methods, and SVMs, with strong validation skills using nested cross-validation, Monte Carlo cross-validation, and Bayesian optimisation.
- Strong understanding of advanced signal processing techniques, including Fourier transforms, wavelet transforms, digital filtering, and noise reduction.
- Experience managing and pre-processing large-scale biomedical datasets, using data augmentation, synthetic data generation, and handling class imbalance with SMOTE.
- Proficiency in real-time signal processing and algorithm optimisation for high-performance, low-latency applications.
Desirable:
Familiarity with medical device development standards,
- ISO 13485: Understanding of quality management systems specific to the medical device industry, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
- ISO 14971: Knowledge of risk management principles in medical device development, enabling the identification, assessment, and mitigation of potential hazards to patient safety.
- ISO 62304: Proficiency in software lifecycle processes for medical device software, ensuring the development of safe and effective software that meets regulatory requirements.
