Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join our team in a quoting of new and renewal business capacity. In this role, you will leverage your extensive technical knowledge and industry expertise to accurately quote and renew commercial insurance policies for our clients. While minimal direct customer interaction is required, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales and service teams, ensuring seamless policy servicing and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
● Manage and service a book of commercial insurance accounts, focusing on quoting new and renewing policies for small to medium-sized businesses
● Conduct thorough risk assessments and analyze clients' exposures to recommend appropriate coverage options and risk mitigation strategies
● Utilize insurance rating software and internal systems to generate accurate and competitive quotes and proposals
● Collaborate closely with underwriters to negotiate terms, secure favorable pricing, and obtain optimal coverages for clients
● Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company policies throughout the quoting and renewal process
● Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, product offerings, and pricing strategies to provide tailored and cost-effective solutions
● Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities and potential for account growth and expansion
● Assist in processing policy changes, endorsements, and other administrative tasks as needed
● Support sales and account management teams by providing technical expertise and timely quotes and renewals
Qualifications:
● Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial insurance account management, with a focus on quoting and renewals for small to medium-sized business accounts
● In-depth technical knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, exclusions, and endorsements
● Strong understanding of underwriting guidelines, risk assessment methodologies, and rating processes
● Proficiency in using insurance rating software, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and other relevant tools
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
● Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and policy review
● Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical insurance information
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
● Commitment to maintaining high levels of customer service and satisfaction
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
